DUKE'S SOUTHWESTERN SOURDOUGH BREAD
IF YOU WANT TO GET FANCY, YOU CAN DO A SOURDOUGH TWIST LOAF LIKE DUKE'S HOUSE KEEPER "ROSA" DID FOR THE HOLIDAYS MEALS AT DUKE'S NEWPORT BEACH HOME.
DUKE LIKED THIS BREAD WHEN HE HAD GOOD OLD STEAK ONE OF HIS FAVORITES, AND WHEN IT WAS MADE INTO GARLIC BREAD TOAST. HE ALSO LIKED IT WITH HIS CHILI. DUKE ALSO LIKED IT WITH HIS HOLIDAY TURKEY AND PRIM-RIB. THIS SOURDOUGH BREAD RECIPE CAME FROM ONE OF THE COOKBOOKS THAT MY WIFE AND I DID BACK IN THE 1960s, AND THAT PAT STACY GOT FROM MY WIFE AND I IN THE EARLY 1970s, AND DUKE HAD PAT STACY AND ROSA COOKING FROM IT MOST OF THE TIME WHEN HE WAS HOME AND NOT ON LOCATION ON A FILM. AND FOR THE BIG PARTIES AND BAR-B-Q AFTER THE BULL SALES AT THE 26 BAR RANCH. Chilibill
