My Grandfather George Frank Larison wrote this Poem
in the Early 1930s. He had been a Horse Soldier at the
First Part of the 1900s on the Border of Arizona and
Mexico with the First Cavalry. He went on to be a U.S.
Marshal in Tombstone.
He then went on to be Chief of the Phoenix Police
Department in the Late 1930s and the Early 1940s.
He was a Tough old Guy, and His Nickname that He was
known by was "Booger Larison !
But He Loved to Write Poetry, and had many Published
in books.
In the Early 1970s William R. Hearst Jr. ask if He could
use the above Poem in a Book of Poetry that was doing
of His Father's William R. Hearst the Man that started
The Hearst Corp. and Built the Hearst Castle in
California, and He also Wrote Poetry.
On the trip to the Hearst Castle and on to Hearst
Wyntoon Ranch in the Early 1970s
John Wayne ask if
He could also have a Copy to Hang on the wall
of His
house at Newport Beach, California and
a copy for The
26 Bar Ranch
at Eagar, Arizona and that is where One
Copy
 is still Hanging all these Years Later.
