| Early in the 1960s John Wayne was becoming upset with places like Monument Valley, Sedona, Arizona Moab, Utah and other places in Arizona, because of the Money that they wanted when they Heard that John Wayne was coming to Town to do a Film ! So Duke went to Durango Mexico and Bought Land and Built a Old Western Town to do some of His Films ! We know that Duke Made at Least 7 Films in Mexico some in and around Durango . After Duke's Passing, the Old Movie Ranch was left To Go To Hell In A Hand Basket ! I have not been there in over 30 Years but I have a Friend that went there a few Years back and said there was Not Much Left of It ! I have been told that there were Over 100 Films Done There. |
