| The 64,000 ac. 26 Bar Ranch at Springerville, Eagar, Arizona was bought by John Wayne and his partner Louis Johnson, at that time also had a very large Cotton Farm and large Cattle Feed Lot in Southern Arizona at Stanfield about 50 miles South of Phoenix. And in the early 1960s and 1970s, and from that time till John Wayne's passing in 1979 was known as "John Wayne's 26 Bar Ranch." After Duke's passing The Ranch changed owners a few times, but even today after almost 30 years after Duke's passing, the 26 Bar Ranch is still known as "John Wayne's Ranch." And it is still the same as when John Wayne and Louis Johnson had The 26 Bar Ranch, it is still a Working Cattle Ranch. For more Info.
